ONTV was a precursor to Cable TV. You had to have this big box on top of your TV and spend what I'm sure was an ungodly amount of money but you got all sorts of cool movies on your TV. I think this may have even been before the home video boom started making it even cooler. Eddie Shavaz who lived across the street from me was the only person I knew who had it.

I was just talkin' to Lynn about OnTV (and its competitor SPECTRUM) the other day. I didn't have it, but my best friend in grade four did, and I went over there to watch stuff once in a while. The only one I remember now is watching Lily Tomlin's Incredible Shrinking Woman. Cool movie, and the technology seemed incredible at the time...
